Walking above China’s amazing history

A new tourist attraction in east China allows people to literally walk above China’s history peering down at centuries of culture through a town square made of glass.

A public square with a crystal clear glass surface was recently unveiled in Jinan, east China’s Shandong Province. Historical sites such as wall footings, bricks and stones, and even ancient wells can be seen clearly beneath the ground, reminding local citizens of ancient times.

The square was built near the site of a former marquis mansion in the Ming Dynasty, and the district has been under development and construction for the last five years.

Take a look at a very modern way to experience China’s ancient past!
