At least 13 dead in California tour bus crash

At least 13 people have been killed in the southern US state of California after a tour bus collided with a lorry. The front of the bus was left mangled after it rammed into the back of the lorry. Some 30 passengers were taken to hospital, and five of the wounded are in critical condition. The crash occurred on Sunday morning local time close to the resort town of Palm Springs, which is about an hour’s drive away from Los Angeles. It is not yet known why the two vehicles collided.
