A gigantic hole appeared in Fukuoka, Japan after a city road gave way at a subway construction site 300 meters from the JR Hakata railway station early Tuesday morning.

The gaping hole started off as two smaller holes around 5 am local time, then merged into one larger hole approximately 27 meters wide, 30 meters long and 15 meters deep.

The giant hole is full of water that has seeped in from damaged sewage pipes. Luckily no one was hurt because the traffic was light at that time.
